The Wise is a member of Shinbakufu and one of the later main targets in Assassin's Creed Shadows. You will discover his identity during the main mission Darkness Falls, during which the villain will sabotage peace talks. You will be faced with a choice - you will have to identify the Wise from among three people. On this guide page, we answer who to accuse of being the saboteur.
Who is the Wise?
The choice will be made during the negotiations, after Naoe kills the sniper who was supposed to cause chaos during the peace talks. You will have to identify the saboteur from among three people - Joken Hokkyo, Lord Junkei and Lady Ayako.
The correct choice is Joken Hokkyo - he is the Wise and the saboteur who ruins the peace talks. After the choice, you will take part in a chase and a duel, in which you will eliminate the villain. If you choose wrongly, however, there will be no consequences - Kojiro will intervene and point out the real enemy. This is exactly what happens when playing in canon mode - the heroes wrongly accuse Lord Junkei, but Kojiro will reveal the real villain.
