Assassin's Creed Shadows contains 55 trophies and by collecting them all you can unlock platinum. Our trophy guide contains detailed descriptions of achievements and related actions. It will allow you to collect 100% of the available achievements.
In AC Shadows, you can unlock a total of 55 achievements, including 1 platinum trophy in the PlayStation version. On this guide page, we have posted a trophy guide with a complete set of information about available achievements. We explain all the steps needed to unlock the achievements and inform how to meet the requirements of individual trophies in the easiest way possible.

Assassin's Creed Shadows

- How to unlock: Unlock all trophies.
- Comment: You can get the platinum in the PlayStation 5 version.
Prologue
- Type: bronze
- How to unlock: Complete the prologue.
- Comment: The achievement is related to the progress in the plot, you can't miss it.
A New League Rises
- Type: bronze
- How to unlock: Complete Act 1 of the main story.
- Comment: The achievement is related to the progress in the plot, you can't miss it. Focus on the main objectives from Shinbakufu.
An Oath Fulfilled
- Type: bronze
- How to unlock: Complete Act 2 of the main story.
- Comment: The achievement is related to the progress in the plot, you can't miss it. Focus on the main objectives from Shinbakufu.
Fall of the Shinbakufu
- Type: bronze
- How to unlock: Complete Act 3 of the main story.
- Comment: The achievement is related to the progress in the plot, you can't miss it. Get rid of the main objectives from Shinbakufu and additionally complete the story missions of Naoe, Yasuke, and Junjiro. More information is in our walkthrough.
Epilogue
- Trophy type: gold
- How to unlock: Complete the Epilogue.
- Comment: The achievement is related to the progress in the plot, you can't miss it. In addition to meeting the requirements to complete Act 3, you must complete an additional mission in the Hideout, assigned by Tomiko. You have to talk to several companions and watch the sunset. This takes place some time after the "main" end credits.
- It is possible that you will receive achievements for completing Act 3 and the epilogue simultaneously. It depends on the order of playing the main story missions.
Death Blossom
- Trophy type: silver
- How to unlock: Defeat all Shinbakufu.
- Comment: The achievement is related to the progress in the plot, you can't miss it. We described the main objectives of the game on the All missions page. Their elimination is part of acts 1-3.
The Thief
Related map marker: Missing Missive @ Japan
- Type: bronze
- How to unlock: Meet Gennojo.
- Comment: The achievement cannot be missed. You will meet Gennojo in the Missing Missive main mission. This is one of the missions related to The Fool.
The Toxin Master
Related map marker: Sweet Lies - Oni-Yuri ally @ Japan
- Type: bronze
- How to unlock: Meet Oni-yuri.
- Comment: The first encounter with Oni-yuri is part of the side quest Sweet Lies. You can start in Tsuruga village in the northern part of Wakasa province - the confrontation shown in the picture.
The Eager Assassin
Related map marker: A Blade in the Dark - Yagoro ally @ Japan
- Type: bronze
- How to unlock: Meet Yagoro.
- The first meeting with Yagoro is part of the side quest A Blade in the Dark, which can be unlocked at the Maniden Hall location in the western part of the Harima province. If you do not see the marker for the new mission on the map, first eliminate the elite Genzaburo Soldiers encountered in this region.
- Upon arrival, you need to find the corpse (see the picture), and then track down and catch up with Yagoro.
The Ronin
Related map marker: Ambush Interrupted - Ibuki ally @ Japan
- Type: bronze
- How to unlock: Meet Ibuki.
- Comment: The first meeting with Ibuki is part of the side quest Ambush Interrupted. You can unlock them in the Kashiwara village in the Iga province - as Yasuke, you need to reach the ambush site and talk to the ronin.
The Warrior Monk
Related map marker: The Fatherless Monk @ Japan
- Type: bronze
- How to unlock: Meet Yaya.
- Comment: The achievement cannot be missed. You will meet Yaya in The Fatherless Monk main mission. This is one of the missions related to The Wounded.
The Sharpshooter
Related map marker: Katsuhime (Against the Koga-ryu quest) @ Japan
- Type: bronze
- How to unlock: Meet Katsuhime.
- Comment: The achievement cannot be missed. You will meet Katsuhime in the main task Against the Koga-ryu. This is one of the missions related to The Naginata.
Build Your League
- Type: bronze
- How to unlock: Recruit your first ally.
- Comment: The main characters' allies can be Gennojo, Oni-yuri, Yagoro, Ibuki, Yaya, and Katsuhime, who are related to the previous trophies from this list. After meeting a certain character, complete quests related to them (they appear in the League category on the Objective Board). At the end of one of such quests, you will get a dialogue option to invite the ally (example in the picture). The achievement requires you to get at least one ally.
- Note - Inviting a person related to the task is never a requirement for completing the quest, so theoretically you can miss the achievement if you refuse all potential candidates.
Front of the Pack
- Type: bronze
- How to unlock: Fully train an ally.
- Comment: First, fulfill the requirement of the Build Your League trophy to have at least 1 ally. You need to build a Dojo in the hideout and develop it to the maximum 3rd level, and then pay for training for the selected companion in the dojo. They must be promoted to the rank of veteran.
Art of Ninjutsu
- Type: bronze
- How to unlock: Master the way of the shinobi.
- Comment: The trophy refers to the Shinobi skill tree for Naoe. You need to purchase all the basic skills (their upgrades are not mandatory) - the picture shows an example.
- Unlocking the option to purchase certain skills requires progress in the storyline - you have to complete Yokai quests and Genzaburo's Soldiers quests related to eliminating elite targets.
Art of Kenjutsu
- Type: bronze
- How to unlock: Master the way of the samurai.
- Comment: The trophy refers to the Samurai skill tree for Yasuke. Just like with the previous trophy, you need to only purchase the basic versions of skills.
- Just as before, additional progress in the story is required - you have to complete the quests Nobutsuna's Students, The Godai Shinobi, Yamabushi Imposters, and Genzaburo's Soldiers where you kill elite targets.
Make it Personal
- Type: bronze
- How to unlock: Engrave your first weapon.
- Comment: To obtain it, you need a level 2 forge - the necessary steps are described on a separate page How to unlock the forge?. To get the trophy, you can choose any weapon and any of the engravings you already own (you can obtain them, for example, as loot).
Better Than a Bucket
- Type: bronze
- How to unlock: Equip legendary gear in all slots.
- Comment: You can meet the achievement requirements by playing as Naoe or Yasuke. All 5 equipment slots must be occupied by legendary gear (example in the picture). 2 weapons, a headgear, armor, and a decoration/amulet. Owning a legendary mount is not required.
Limitless
- Trophy type: silver
- How to unlock: Find a legendary piece of gear of each type.
- Comment: This is an expanded version of the previous achievement. You need to acquire one piece of legendary equipment from each category. This means all armor parts and all types of weapons (for Naoe and for Yasuke).
- Keep opening all the legendary chests you find, because each of them will contain a legendary equipment - this is the easiest way to acquire these items. You should obtain the trophy as you go through the game.
In Case of Trouble
- Trophy type: silver
- How to unlock: Fully upgrade your tools and ammunition.
- Comment: This is a very similar achievement to the previously described Art of Ninjutsu and Art of Kenjutsu. In this case, you need to unlock skills from the Tools tree (Naoe - example in the picture), Bow (Yasuke) and Teppo (Yasuke).
- Not all skills are immediately available for purchase. Additionally, complete the side quests Kurai Eikyou, The Pirate Alliance, and Yokai in which you kill elite targets, as well as The Tournament where you have to win a few fights.
Suture Self
- Type: bronze
- How to unlock: Fully upgrade your rations.
- Comment: We have described this topic in more detail on the page How to have more rations?. Visiting 16 food vendors is unfortunately not enough. You also need to build 2 structures in the Hideout - Zashiki and Tea Room.
Sometimes
- Type: bronze
- How to unlock: Perform a landing roll.
- Comment: Unlock the Igan Roll skill from the Shinobi tree available for Naoe. Just before landing from a great height, you must press Circle/B to make Naoe perform a roll and avoid damage.
Reeding is Fundamental
- Type: bronze
- How to unlock: Escape conflict by using a breathing reed to hide in shallow water.
- Comment: Unlock the Shallow Water Breathing skill from the Shinobi tree available for Naoe.
- Choose any location with shallow water and opponents nearby. Get noticed by enemies, escape to shallow water and lie down in it (hold down the Square/X button) to lose the pursuit.
Just Your Shadow
- Type: bronze
- How to unlock: Distract the same enemy 3 times with shinobi bells.
- Comment: You need to unlock Shinobi Bell in the Tool tree available for Naoe.
- Locate any opponent and throw the shinobi bell so that it lands next to the enemy and attracts his attention. You must now wait until the opponent picks up the shinobi bell. Then throw the next one - repeat this a total of 3 times.
Hook, Line, and Swinger
- Type: bronze
- How to unlock: Stay airborne by swinging from one grappling hook point to another.
- Comment: You must reach any location as Naoe by using 2 anchor points for the rope - they must be next to each other. An example of such a location is the Old Kofun from the first Izumi Settsu province. Grab the first point, jump and grab the second point in mid-air.
Acrobatics
- Type: bronze
- How to unlock: Perform a leap of faith from a grappling hook swing.
- Comment: You can get it in the same place as the Hook, Line, and Swinger trophy described above, which is in the Old Kofun location. Both hook points are above the water and Naoe, after using the grappling hook, can jump into the water, which is treated as a leap of faith (the above picture).
- Alternatively, you can reach, for example, any place with a hook point near a haystack.
Leap of Fail
- Type: bronze
- How to unlock: Perform a leap of faith as Yasuke.
- Comment: This is a simple achievement. Use fast travel to move Yasuke to any discovered viewpoint. Jump towards the haystack or another place where you can perform a leap of faith. His "emergency landing" will unlock the trophy.
Adept Shinobi
- Type: bronze
- How to unlock: Perform your first assassination.
- Comment: This is one of the simplest achievements. Playing as Naoe for the first time, sneak up on an enemy from behind and press R1/RB.
Master Shinobi
- Type: bronze
- How to unlock: Assassinate an enemy through a shoji door.
- Comment: Unlock the Shoji Door Assassination skill from the Assassin tree available for Naoe. Additionally, make sure you have a katana in your equipment (in 1 of 2 weapon slots), as it is required for this action.
- Buildings with shoji doors can be found in, e.g. enemy castles. Scan the surroundings and look for opportunities to kill an opponent standing with his back to the shoji doors (example in the picture).
Unseen
- Trophy type: silver
- How to unlock: Perform 5 assassinations in a row without being noticed or entering combat.
- Comment: You can easily get this trophy by playing as Naoe. Choose any location with several opponents and reach them one by one while avoiding detection. Scan the area and move by walking on the roofs.
Giant Slayer
- Type: bronze
- How to unlock: Assassinate a powerful guardian in one go.
- Comment: You will start encountering giants in later regions (in our case, it started from Harima province), usually in castles and/or after triggering an alarm.
- Play as Naoe. Additionally, we recommend enabling Guaranteed Assassination in the game options - we described them on the page How to kill with a single attack?. By performing a stealth attack with the hidden blade, you can ignore the giant's long health bar and kill him immediately (example in the picture).
Adept Samurai
- Type: bronze
- How to unlock: Perform your first Finisher as Yasuke.
- Comment: You can get the achievement at the very beginning of the game, when doing the prologue as Yasuke. Keep attacking the enemies, and Yasuke should at some point perform the first finisher.
Master Samurai
- Type: bronze
- How to unlock: Parry an incoming projectile.
- Comment: The achievement can only be obtained as Yasuke. Reach any location with hostile archers and let one of them notice you. After the flash appears during the archer's attack, press L1/LB and Yasuke will parry the arrow flying towards him.
Unstoppable
- Trophy type: silver
- How to unlock: Use Samurai Stand before performing a Finisher on an enemy.
- Comment: Samurai Stand is a skill available to Yasuke - you need to complete the Nobutsuna's Students quest to gain access to the skill on the Samurai tree.
- After unlocking the active skill, assign it to one of the skill slots. After activating it, you have 10 seconds to defeat the last enemy from the group. Yasuke will perform a finisher on him.
This is Japan, Actually
- Type: bronze
- How to unlock: Kick an enemy from a high place.
- Comment: Unlock the War Kick skill from the Samurai tree available for Yasuke. Assign it to one of the slots for active skills.
- You can use a strong kick, for example, on an opponent on a roof, a watchtower, or standing at the edge of a shelf. The game will reward you with the trophy if the kicked enemy fell from a sufficiently high place.
Overdesign III
- Type: bronze
- How to unlock: Perform a Finisher on an enemy that is both Poisoned and Dazed.
- Comment: Try to get this achievement as Naoe. Equip her with a weapon that causes a poison buildup (example in the picture), as well as a separate weapon that causes a dazed buildup.
- Select a strong enemy and start attacking them with weapon 1. After being maximally poisoned or dazed, switch to weapon 2 and repeat the pattern. The opponent should have 2 negative statuses at the same time - then perform the finishing attack before the statuses run out.
Final Hearing
- Type: bronze
- How to unlock: Sheath your weapon immediately after an enemy dies from Bleed.
- Comment: Try to get this achievement as Yasuke. Equip him with any weapon that causes bleed buildup (example in the picture).
- Attack the enemy to inflict bleeding and be sure that he dies from this status. As soon as this happens, press the right direction on the controller's d-pad for Yasuke to sheath his weapon.
Adventurer
- Type: bronze
- How to unlock: Shoot an enemy in the knee with an arrow.
- Comment: Only Yasuke can use bows. Approach any opponent who is not yet attacking you. This will allow you to calmly aim at his knee.
Mortal Reminder
- Trophy type: silver
- How to unlock: Complete an Objective Board.
- Comment: The achievement refers to those mission categories from the board that concern elite enemies. You need to locate all objectives from a given category (7 different people in the example in the picture). The first such group is The Twisted Tree, but you can also choose any other.
Test Your Might
- Trophy type: silver
- How to unlock: Defeat the final enemy in the tournament.
- Comment: We have described this topic in detail on a separate page titled How to win the tournament?. As Yasuke, you have to defeat a total of 5 elite enemies.
Kofun Raider
- Type: bronze
- How to unlock: Complete your first kofun.
- Comment: Kofuns are secret tombs, in which Naoe or Yasuke have to solve small puzzles on the way to the legendary treasure. Their list is on the Kofun page - you can choose any of them to get this trophy.
Good Form
- Type: bronze
- How to unlock: Complete your first kata.
- Comment: Kata are optional activities for Yasuke where you have to complete a QTE sequence (you can enable automatic QTE completion in the game options). For the trophy, simply complete just one of them.
Zen Master
- Trophy type: silver
- How to unlock: Complete all kuji-kiri.
- Comment: Kata are optional activities for Naoe where you have to complete a QTE sequence (you can enable automatic QTE completion in the game options). The trophy requires you to complete all 22 kuji-kiri - you can find their list in the Secrets and collectibles chapter.
A Rare Occurence
- Trophy type: silver
- How to unlock: Complete all legendary sumi-e.
- Comment: These are 5 unique secrets. We described their locations and ways to unlock them on a separate page called Legendary animals.
Collector
- Trophy type: silver
- How to complete: Complete a collection.
- Comment: This achievement relates to side quests involving collecting unique secrets. These could be, for example, tea bowls, which we described in the chapter dedicated to the collectibles. You need to collect all the items and return them to the quest giver.
Sole Sanctum
- Type: bronze
- How to unlock: Unlock the Hideout.
- Comment: The achievement cannot be missed. You will unlock the main hideout in act 1.
Chase the Morning
- Type: bronze
- How to unlock: Add a sumi-e to the Hideout.
- Comment: This achievement has two requirements. First and foremost, you need to set up the Study in the hideout. Then, you have to unlock any sumi-e, i.e., draw any animal encountered in the game world. These can be, e.g. legendary sumi-e associated with A Rare Occurence trophy.
- Go to the hideout to edit the Study, specifically to the tab for changing its interior. Place any sumi-e from the list of owned ones on the wall (example in the picture).
Against Wood and Stone
- Type: bronze
- How to unlock: Fully upgrade a building in the Hideout.
- Comment: We recommend upgrading the forge which is also associated with the Make it Personal trophy. You have to develop it to the maximum third level. More information (e.g. about gathering necessary materials) can be found on the Hideout page.
Everybody Benefits!
- Type: bronze
- How to unlock: Adopt a pet.
- Comment: You must first unlock any pet in the game world. You can do this by, e.g. petting encountered animals (dogs or cats are the easiest), or while doing sumi-e (not all such activities will be rewarded with a new pet).
- Return to the hideout and open the construction menu. Go to the last tab, where the pets are located. Choose any pet and place it on the free space in the hideout (example in the attached picture).
Happy Place
Related map marker: Mount Hakkyo - Yamato @ Japan
- Type: bronze
- How to unlock: Reach the highest point on the map.
- Comment: The highest point is Mount Hakkyo in the Yamato region - this place is shown in the above picture and is next to the eastern border with the Kii region. You should get the trophy after climbing to the viewpoint at the top of the mountain.
Pathfinder
- Type: bronze
- How to unlock: Visit every province on the map.
- Comment: The borders of all 9 main provinces are visible on the game's world map. You only have to enter each of them once. It is also not required to discover all subregions, nor to fully reveal the map.
Scouting Mission
- Type: bronze
- How to unlock: Gather information using a scout.
- Comment: To get the trophy, disable the Guided Exploration option, because otherwise the game will immediately show where you have to travel next (you can also change this setting in the game options). Once you do that, you can use the help of scouts.
- Choose any quest in which you have to find a certain location or character. On the map screen, you can send scouts to search the area (example in the picture). You will get the trophy if you have correctly identified the area and the scouts' actions end with finding the mission target.
Would You Kindly?
- Type: bronze
- How to unlock: Complete a contract in each province.
- Comment: Contracts are small random missions can browse in Kakurega hideouts (image above). Complete at least 1 contract in each of the 9 main provinces.
Made You Look!
- Trophy type: silver
- How to unlock: Look for treasure behind the waterfall in the Hideout.
- Comment: This is a simple trophy. Return to the main hideout and investigate its eastern part (near the kuji-kiri activity). Find the small cave behind the waterfall shown in the picture to unlock the achievement.
