Expedition 33: How to defeat the Tisseur boss?

Where is Tisseur?

Tisseur is located in Sirene, a location related to the main story. It's impossible to miss this boss - the huge weaver stands on the main path leading through the area, by the Sewing Atelier flag. Although you can ignore him, it will significantly complicate the fight with Sirene, the main boss of the location. So it's better to defeat Tisseur here to make the next part of the game easier.

Tisseur's attacks

1. Curse - Tisseur casts a curse on your entire team. This attack cannot be dodged. The cursed character will automatically die after eight turns - you need to finish the fight as quickly as possible.
2. Combo - Tisseur performs five area blows. Quickly dodge twice or parry after the boss leans his steel fist behind his back, then jump over the next two blows, and parry the nail that the boss throws at you.
3. Swiping combo - Tisseur performs four area strikes. You have to jump over the first three. The blows are fast, so jump immediately as soon as you see the jump symbol. At the end, be ready to parry or dodge when the boss pulls all his arms back.
4. Weaving Glissando - Tisseur weaves some Glissandos and throws them at the team. Parry right after the huge worm rears back.
5. Clapping - Tisseur claps his hands, trying to crush the team with them. Be ready to parry right after the boss starts holding a nail horizontally in front of you.

How to defeat Tisseur?

Tisseur is weak to Fire and Light, and resistant to Ice and Dark. This fight entirely relies on the turn limit imposed on you by the boss through his curse. Hence, you'll want to get rid of him as soon as possible. Maelle and Lune are particularly useful here due to their fire-related skills, which will cause the boss to take significant damage every turn.

When in a tight spot, that you have a "spare" party at your disposal: even if you die, the remaining of the expedition can finish the fight. It's recommended to equip Fire or Light elemental weapons and Luminas that enhance jump counterattacks - Tisseur has a lot of attacks that require jumping, and these counterattacks deal significant damage, especially when they exploit the boss's vulnerability to specific elements.

Rewards for defeating Tisseur

For defeating Tisseur, you will receive:

1. 108,120 XP;
2. 7,050 Chroma;
3. Tissenum - a weapon for Maelle;
4. Picto - Anti-Charm - gives immunity to enchantment;
5. Resplendent Chroma Catalyst x3.
