The Gestrals hidden arena is one of the optional locations in Expedition 33. Although you may encounter it early, as early as the first act, it may prove to be too challenging - but you can always come back to it later. How does the Gestrals hidden arena work?
You will find the Gestrals hidden arena to the west of the Gestrals village in the first act of the game. After talking with the gestrals in the arena, you can participate in four battles. Defeat has no consequences, so you can try as much as you want. Only one character can participate in a fight. Victory will reward you with a unique picto, and defeating all opponents gives you another picto for becoming a champion. The effects of all these picto only work when the party member equipped with them is the only conscious one on the battlefield.
What are the rewards in the Gestrals hidden arena?
The lower the opponent is on the list, the stronger they are. The last two enemies may prove too demanding for the first act, but you can return to them in the second act. Here are the rewards you will receive for defeating each opponent.
- Matthieu the Colossus - for defeating him you will receive Last Stand Critical Picto - when fighting alone you have a 100% chance of dealing critical hits,
- Bertrand Big Hands - for defeating him you will receive Accelerating Last Stand Picto - fighting alone gives you a permanent acceleration status,
- Dominique Giant Feet - for defeating him you will receive Protecting Last Stand Picto - when fighting alone you receive permanent shell status.
- Julien Tiny Head - for defeating him you will receive Empowering Last Stand Picto - when fighting alone you receive a permanent buff.
For defeating all enemies, you will receive the Solo Fighter Picto - when fighting alone, all damage dealt by you is increased by 50%.
