Oblivion Remastered: How to level up?
Usually, character upgrading in RPGs is pretty straightforward. However, Oblivion Remaster takes a slightly different approach to your character's progression and improvement. Along with our guide, you will learn how to gain experience points and level up your character.
Last update:
Leveling up your character in Oblivion Remastered works a bit differently than in most RPGs. Moreover, it's slightly different than in the original Oblivion (2006) as well. We will explain everything on this page of the guide.
Gaining experience
Experience points are needed to level up your character, increase your attributes, and grow in strength. By performing a specific activity, you can increase its level, for which you will receive experience points that help you increase the overall character level.
It is worth noting that your skills are divided into two categories:
- Major Skills: this category covers the core skills of your chosen class. Their initial value is 20 points higher. Therefore, the best way to gain experience is to perform activities that count towards your Major Skills. They're much easier and faster to develop.
- Minor Skills: their starting level is lower and they grow slower. Furthermore, they provide much less experience compared to Major Skills. Therefore, it is not worth focusing only on them. Instead, treat them as a potential option to gain XP over time.
